The system utilises the gas pressure generated in the charging system of an i.c. engine to operate independent mechanical units. In the engine charging system (6) is a adjuster (3) with union to the independent unit (4). The adjuster is pref. operated mechanically or by other means, and can be mounted in the intake or exhaust manifold, while an exhaust turbocharger (8) can be included. USE/ADVANTAGE - For engine or car accessories etc., with improved energy utilisation.
