The invention relates to a device making it possible to check whether products required to be kept at a temperature below 0 DEG C have been defrosted (unfrozen) between the time when they were frozen and the time of their use. The device consists of a leaktight transparent plastic bag containing a glass bulb filled with water and a colorimetric moisture detection product. As long as the temperature is below 0 DEG C, the marker remains colourless. If the temperature becomes greater than 0 DEG C, the marker turns dark red. Refreezing has no effect on the marker. The device according to the invention is in particular intended for checking the continuity of the cold chain for products such as frozen foodstuffs or certain pharmaceutical specialities.
