SILICA TREATED WITH ORGANOSILICONE, COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME SILICA AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject uniform and high purity silica containing no acid, no base, etc., as by-products, free from offensive odors and containing no coarse particle by treating a silica fine powder with a specified organosilicone. CONSTITUTION:(A) A silica fine powder having >=50m<2>/g specific surface area is treated with (B) a triorgano(1-alkoxyvinyloxy)silane represented by formula I (R<1> is 1-8C monovalent hydrocarbon or ether bond-containing organic group; R<2> is 1-18C monovalent hydrocarbon group or ether bond-containing organic group). With the resultant silica fine powder, an organopolysiloxane of formula II (R<3> is 1-10C monovalent hydrocarbon; (a) is 1.90-3.0; (b) is 0-1.0; (a+b)=0.90-3.0) is blended. The amount of the above-mentioned silica blended is 1-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane.
