A golf ball retrieving device comprising a harness having an open end with a peripheral rim dimensioned to recieve a golf ball therein. A support ridge projects inwardly of the rim and spaced therefrom to support a golf ball in the harness when in a hazard such as a body of water bush, tall grass, etc...A deformable,cup-shape adaptor is removably secured to the harness and has an opening for removable attachment to a free end grip portion of a golf club to retain the harness in a ball retrieving position. The cup-shape adaptor has a circumferencial sealing lip about the opening to provide a tight grip about the free end grip portion of a golf club.
