PURPOSE:To eliminate a need for a connector and an optical fiber which connect respective modules constituting bilateral light receiving and emitting modules and to reduce the size of the device by connecting and integrating the respective modules directly. CONSTITUTION:The bilateral light receiving and emitting module 1 is fitted to one end of an optical fiber and a bilateral light receiving and emitting module 3 is fitted to the other end of the optical fiber 50. The bilateral light receiving and emitting module 1 is constituted by connecting two light receiving and emitting modules 11 and 13 and a receptacle module 17 to a beam splitter module 15. The bilateral light receiving and emitting module 3 is constituted by connecting a light receiving and emitting module 31 and a receptacle module 37 to a beam splitter module 35 directly. Consequently, the modules are connected directly and integrated, so the need for the connector and optical fiber which connect the respective modules is eliminated, the device is reduced in size and cost, and the loss of light between the modules is small. |
