摘要 |
The sheet-metal lid is partic. for a tin of contents under pressure, having an opening lug partly stamped out and forming an opening. The surrounding area of the lid is cold-shaped so that the edge of the opening overlaps that of the lug, plastisol being applied as a sealant to the mating faces. A narrow strip (11) is partly stamped out of the edge (9) of the opening (3) diametrically opposite the hinge area (7) of the lug. This is bent towards the inside (1b) of the lid into a position inclined to the plane (E-E) of the lid, to form a stop lug. When the opening lug (5) is properly shut, it bears against the peripheral edge (5b) of the latter and is deflected outwards when this is depressed, springing back again when the edge has passed it. USE/ADVANTAGE - Any tampering with the opening lug is readily detectable.
