This method finds application in the chemical industry. It makes use of high-performance catalysts, which contribute to the reduction of polycondensation duration. The method involves carrying out a re-esterification of dimethyl terephtalate with ethylene glycol in the presence of antimony oxide, in addition to an oligomer containing phosphorus and cadmium, an oligomer containing phosphorus, calcium and chlorine, or an oligomer containing phosphorus, zinc and chlorine.
