The invention relates to a device for continuous casting of thin strips in a magnetic field. According to the invention, it includes a container (1) for a molten metal (2), provided with an exit orifice (3) made in the bottom part of the said container (1), an electromagnetic inductor (5) and a system (8) for cooling a strip to be cast (4); the cooling system (8) is combined with the inductor (5) and consists of circulation chambers (9, 10) arranged according to the perimeter of the outer wall of the inductor (5), and of radial channels (15) traversing the body of the inductor (5) and connecting the circulation chambers (9, 10) to a space (16) delimited by the inner wall of the inductor (5). The invention applies particularly to the casting of thin strips in aluminium or alloys thereof. <IMAGE>
