Fuel rod arrangements for boiling water reactor - has ordered rows and columns of fuel elements angled at 45 deg. to the casing walls with reinforcing across corners or orthOgonal
摘要
A fuel element arrangement for a nuclear reactor esp. a boiling water reactor consists of multiple fuel rods arranged in a rectangular casing. The elements are arranged in ordered rows and columns such that the rows and columns form an angle of 45 deg. with the casing walls. ADVANTAGE - A new range of possible arrangements for fuel elements in a nuclear reactor. Gives opportunity to optimize neutron flux and moderator distribution, as well as cooling and coolant flow parameters esp. at the end of the casing.
