Helical scan VTR audio recording method

摘要

The audio channels (NF1,NF2) are frequency modulated (11,12) on a carrier in the video signal frequency spectrum and applied to the recording head (14) mixer amplifier (8) which also receives the picture signals (F,Y) in suitable form. An unmodulated audio signal (13) is also applied. On replay the unmodulated signal signal, which is also unaffected by the head transfer, is subtracted from the demodulated channels (NF1,NF2) and so cancels the distortion introduced in the latter by the change from one head to another.The need for a separate audio track and recording head is obviated.The tape area is more effeciently used
