PURPOSE:To enhance the whiteness and recording density and to prevent lees from generating on head by allowing at least one kind of amorphous silica among those subjected to surface treatment with polyethylene or paraffin to be contained at least in one layer of a recording layer or an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:At least in one of a heat sensitive recording layer or an intermediate layer constituting a heat sensitive recording body is contained amorphous silica subjected to surface treatment with polyethylene or paraffin. For example, in the case where silica of high oil absorbing property, particularly that absorbs oil not smaller than 80ml/100g and more preferably, not smaller than 150ml/100g is used for the amorphous silica processed through surface treatment with polyethylene or paraffin, the whiteness is less lowered and the color developing part becomes not dull even under the printing condition with high temperatures. Moreover, the adhesion of lees on head is effectively improved. The reason for this is that not only the color developing part, but the polyethylene or paraffin on the surface of silica are melted at the printing time with high temperatures and absorbed between particles of silica, resulting in the formation of a barrier of wax. Accordingly, an excessive absorption of the color developing part is prevented and the adhesion of lees on head is prevented by the sufficient absorbing force of the pigment. |
