PURPOSE: To measure the position of a radioactive ray source in real time by providing a fluorescent screen and a camera that is optically connected to the screen and can acquire the image of zones as an electrical signal. CONSTITUTION: The device has a fluorescent screen 28 at a position that is opposed to a pin hole 16 in a chamber 4, the screen 28 is supported by a circular inner shoulder of a body 6 at the level of the bottom of the conical wall of a collimator 14, and the wall is spread toward the chamber 4. The screen 28 is in transmission type at a visible region, and Y rays from a radioactive ray source 2 arriving at the screen 28 through the collimator 14 arc converted to visible rays by a camera 30 provided in the chamber 4. The camera 30 supplies the image of a scene observed through the pin hole 16 as an electrical signal. An entrance window 32 of the camera 30 is pressed against the screen 28, and the screen 28 is arranged between the pin hole 16 and the camera 30. The screen 28 can detect Y photon generated by each ray source 2.
