<p>PURPOSE: To manufacture a balata coated golf ball that is similar to the golf ball coated with a white saline by including a proper amount of blue and purple components in the inside of the coating constituents of first and second opaque layers. CONSTITUTION: A balata coated balata golf ball 10 coated white is provided with a core 16 and a cover 14, and a first opaque layer 20 consisting of a white coating constituent is applied on the cover 14, and thereon a second opaque layer 22 consisting of a white coating constituent is applied. The coating layer contains a base resin for white coating of approximately 100 parts by weight, a blue component of approximately 0.3 to 0.03 parts by weight and a purple component of approximately 0.1 to 0.01 parts by weight, and the ratio of the blue component weight to the purple component weight is approximately 4 to 1.5. The whiteness of the balata coated ball with this coating is equally matched to that of the golf ball coated with high-quality saline in which a coating pigment is mixed in the cover material.</p> |
