PURPOSE:To enhance accuracy in electrical connection correspondingly to dispersion in the plate thickness of a board by providing a roughly C-shaped first contact member and a second contact member joined and supported to one end of the first contact member and disposed inside the first contact member. CONSTITUTION:A housing Ho4 and a contact Co2 are joined together by a recessed portion 2a formed inside the housing Ho4 and a projecting portion 4a formed on the outside of the contact Co2. The Co2 comprises contact 21, 22, a base portion 21, two of first and second roughly C-shaped contact members 20, 24 having a contact 23 and capable of elastic deformation. A printed wiring board 6 is inserted into the housing Ho4 as shown by the full line and the contact 22 is rotated about a supporting point to a position indicated by the dashed line whereby the contacts 21, 22, 23 make contact with the faces 6A, 6B of the board 6 with great contact pressure. The Co2 thus disperses stress and resists large-scale deformation, and firm electrical contact is achieved correspondingly to dispersion in the plate thickness of the board.
