<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to control the heating temperature of a heating element by constituting the heating element, which acts as a monitor, of a substance which electric conductivity is rendered metallic on the low temperature side and to non-metallic on the high temperature side with a particular temperature area as a boundary. CONSTITUTION:A thin film heating element 1 consisting of a material exhibiting metallic electric conductivity on the low temperature side and non-metallic electric conductivity on the high temperature side is provided on a substrate of glazed alumina ceramic. One end of this heating element is connected to an individual electrode 2 and the other is connected to the first common electrode 3. After that, if the temperature of a monitor rises to a particular temperature zone, the energization of the heating element 1 is suspended by a monitor to discontinue the increase of temperature in the heating element 1. Subsequently, it is possible to control uniformly the peak temperature of the heating element 1 in a thermal head or the heating element layer in an energized thermal sheet under any temperature environment in which the heating element is placed.</p> |
