PURPOSE:To extremely reduce culture cost and to continuously culture the title green algae in water by multiplying green algae belonging to the genus Chlamydomonas under a specific optimum condition. CONSTITUTION:Unicellular green alga R. sager strain 95 belonging to the genus Chlamydomonas is cultured in a desirable nutritive source to be multiplied in water under an optimum condition by natural light or 2,000-20,000 lux artificial illumination at 20-38 deg.C. The nutritive source is preferably secondary treated water of live drain irradiated with ozone and ultraviolet light rays. Further, a device wherein a culture tank 4 is separated into three chambers by two partition walls 5, holes 6 to pass a culture solution are made at right edge bottom of a first partition wall and a left edge bottom of a second partition wall, a pump 2 and a pipe 3 to transport a nutritive solution from a storage tank 1 of nutritive solution further a pipe 3 to collect the culture solution from the third chambers are equipped is preferably used. |
