PERSONAL ALERT SYSTEM This invention is directed to a personal alert system which can be used by a person as an alert or deterrent in a variety of situations. A personal alert security apparatus comprising: (a) an electrical current generating source; (b) an audio emission means electrically connected to the current generating source (a) adapted to generate a loud audio sound when activated by electrical current from the electrical current source (a); (c) a light emitting source electrically connected to the current generating source (a) adapted to generate a light when activated by electrical current from the electrical current source (a); and, (d) a manually activatable three-position switch which can be moved to a first position whereby only the audio means (a) is activated, or to a second position whereby only the light emitting source is activated, or to a third position whereby both the audio means (b) and the light emitting source (c) are activated.
