PURPOSE:To obtain the subject complex emulsion capable of controlling release of an inner aqueous phase by using a polyglycerol ester of condensed ricinolic acid, organic acid monoglyceride and polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid in combination. CONSTITUTION:Animal or vegetable fats and oils, preferably various hardened oils (e.g. hardened soybean oil) is mixed with a polyglycerol ester of condensed ricinoleic acid and the resultant mixture is heated and dissolved to prepare an oily phase. An aqueous solution or emulsion of a substance (substance to be released) to be enclosed in the aforementioned oily phase is added thereto and emulsified by a homomixer to provide a W/O composition. On the other hand, water is mixed with an organic acid monoglyceride and a polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid and the obtained mixture is heated and dissolved. The aforementioned W/O composition is then heated and added thereto. The prepared mixture is stirred, then homogenized and cooled to afford a W/O/W type complex emulsion. The abovementioned complex emulsion is capable of controlling release of the inner aqueous phase by educing temperature in the presence of salts or adding the salts thereto at a high temperature. |
