PURPOSE: To reduce cable laying cost by providing an illuminator in the component of a gas spring connected to a motor vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: This gas spring 10 comprises a pressure pipe 11 and a piston rod 12 movable forward and backward in the pressure pipe 11. The rod 12 has a piston rod connecting eye 13 or a piston rod connecting ball 13a. An illuminator 17 comprises an immovable illuminating part 18 having a ball bearing cup 16 for receiving the connecting ball 13a and an illuminating part 19 rotatable along a separate line in the part 18. The part 19 comprises a light surface 21 formed as a rotary plate and an electric connecting part 22 opposite thereto. An insert module 24 is provided in the illuminator 17 and has a pressure switch 25, the electric connecting part 22 and an incandescent lamp 28. The module 24 is snapped into an illuminator casing 31 by using a snap connecting member 30. The connecting part 22 can be connected to a current connecting part in a vehicle body 26 through a connection socket 29. |
