<p>PURPOSE:To make the scale of a memory small by storing a luminance and a color difference signal converted into a digital signal at an A/D converter circuit into a compression expansion frame memory and reading the signal by a compression and expansion control circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is separated into a luminance signal and a color difference signal at a video input circuit 1, converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter circuit 2, stored in a compression expansion frame memory 3 in the timing of storage fetch, read by a compression expansion control circuit 4 and stored in a compression data temporary storage buffer 5. A control section 11 sends a compression end notice signal to an opposite party via a transmission circuit 6 via a communication interface under the control of a CPU 12. Thus, one 768 kbytes memory is enough for the compression expansion frame memory 3 and in the case of 1/10 compression, a 1/10 scale is enough for the compression data temporary storage buffer 5 and the memory scale is remarkably decreased in comparison with the case with a conventional still picture transmission reception circuit.</p> |
