PURPOSE:To prevent a careless light emission and to eliminate a useless consumption of electric power by providing an inhibiting means for inhibiting a light emission of a light emitting means, when a transmission impossible state is detected. CONSTITUTION:A CPU monitors ON/OFF of a coupling switch 73 for monitoring the coupling of a memory card and a terminal equipment through an interface port 71, and when the memory card is installed in the terminal equipment, the interface output port becomes enable. In this case, when a data transmission to the terminal equipment is requested by depressing a key, etc., the CPU sends out its data to the terminal equipment through a light emitting part 72. When the memory card is removed from the terminal equipment and the coupling switch 73 becomes OFF, the CPU brings the interface output port to disable. In such a way, it does not occur that an erroneous light emission is executed due to an operator's misoperation in a transmission impossible state, therefore, a battery of the memory card is not consumed uselessly. |
