PURPOSE:To allow the setting of the upper limit and lower limit of velocity in accordance with an actual velocity when keys are actually touched by providing detecting means for detecting the velocity of the keys and velocity limit setting means. CONSTITUTION:The velocity of the touched key is detected when the 'AUTO' of a mode key MK is selected. The threshold value to prohibit the output of the musical tone signal generator 5 is then automatically set in accordance with this velocity. On the other hand, the velocity of the touched key is written in a working memory 4 and is displayed on a display section 9 when a 'MAN- UAL' is selected. The threshold value to prohibit the output of a musical tone generator 5 is set in accordance with the velocity written in the working mem ory 4 by a transfer key TNK is pushed after the velocity displayed on the display section 9 is checked by an operator. The operator is able to set the threshold value as desired while actually playing a keyboard in this way. |
