Reacting gas with molten material in narrow space - round lower end of axial gas feeder with enlarged internal buffer space
摘要
An axial inlet for gas to react heterogeneously with a liq. or melt in a reaction chamber leads directly into a buffer space defined by a large lower end to the gas inlet surrounded by the reaction space attainable via a narrow gap round the foot of the buffer space wall. The reaction space is considerably smaller than the buffer space, and is entered by gas rising through an inclined sieve plate. After reaction, gas leaves from an upper outlet. The outlet for reacted melt or liq. may (like the main reaction chamber) be surrounded by a heater jacket and include a sieve plate in the jacketed area. ADVANTAGE - Liq. cannot be drawn into the gas feeder, which for melts which could solidify and block the feed is highly important.
