The tap for wash-basins or sinks has a main housing (10) consisting of a part (11) holding the outflow pipe (12) and a second socket part (13) connected to the first part with a seal between. The main housing contains a mixer-cartridge (21), an insert (20), and a sleeve (30) which encloses an axial container (30a) for the insert. A pipe-attachment fits into the outflow pipe (12). Between the insert and the axial container's inner surface, and between the lateral pipe attachment (31a) and the outflow pipe's inner surface are peripheral seals (32,33). ADVANTAGE - The tap's body serves as a casing, and does not incorporate the seal or functional pieces.
