<p>PURPOSE:To prevent shears between colors from occurring by a method wherein a forced exposure is carried out on non-printing region of a photo-sensitive belt in the main scanning direction to detect a physical displacement on a recording medium at the exposure position of the forced exposure, and the following exposures are performed synchronizing with the detected signals. CONSTITUTION:During non-printing period in the main scanning direction, VDO1' signals are input to a first LED unit 15 through an AND gate 44 and an OR gate 35. The first LED unit 15 performs forced exposure on the non-printing region on a photo-sensitive belt every half dot. Latent images are formed on the photo-sensitive belt every half dot by the forced exposures according to the LSOURCE signals, and developed by a first development processor to form toner images on the non-printing region. The toner images are detected by first, second and third detectors 32, 33 and 34, and output to an image signal control circuit 22 as horizontal synchronization signals of LSYNC2, LSYNC3 and LSYNC4 for each color. Thereby, shears in color can be eliminated.</p> |
