PURPOSE: To reduce cost, problems on safety, taste and calorie, ablating property, etc., by using a synergistic sweet compsn. prepd. by blending a specified strong peptide sweetener with a hydrolyzate of hydrogenated starch. CONSTITUTION: L.α-aspartyl.D-alanine N-(2,2,4,4,-tetramethyl-3-thiethanyl)amide is mixed with a hydrolyzate of hydrogenated starch preferably in a weight ratio of 0.02:99.98 to 1:99 to obtain the objective synergistic sweet compsn. The hydrolyzate preferably has <=19% DP-1 value, <=60% DP-2 value, <=3% DP-20 value or above and the balance DP-3 to DP-20 value. The synergistic sweet compsn. is added to an edible compsn. by 10-50wt.% of the amt. of the edible compsn. |
