<p>The binding comprises a plate (1) mounted pivotably on the ski about a pivot (16) and carrying front (4) and rear (6) holding means for the boot. The plate (1) consists of two parts (1a and 1b) engaged telescopically in each other. The length of the plate (1) may be adjusted by means of a rotary moving piece, such as an endless screw (21), integral with one of the parts of the plate and meshing with a rack (24) integral with the other part of the plate. The rotary moving piece (21) is accessible on the side of the plate (1), so that the length of the plate may be adjusted while the boot is in the binding.
