PURPOSE:To enable a user to discriminate whether the radio waves from a satellite are not received or the device is out of order by providing a display panel which displays the receiving state of the radio waves from the satellite. CONSTITUTION:The latitude data and longitude data of the present position of an automobile are applied from a controller 2 integrated with a GPS (Global Positioning System) via an input/output interface 43 to an electronic controller 41. The electronic controller 41 reads the operations of the respective key switches of a keyboard 5 via a remote controlled photodetecting section 48 and a remote controlled signal receiving circuit 44 and displays the necessary messages, etc., on a display panel 42 via a driving circuit 45. An LED group 31 for x-coordinate display and an LED for y-coordinate display are lighted via an output interface 46. Since the receiving state of the radio waves from the satellite is displayed on the display panel 42 in this way, the user is able to discriminate whether the radio waves from the satellite are not received or the device is out of order if the present position is not displayed on the display device. |
