PURPOSE: To obtain an immunosuppressive agent that comprises a combination of cyclosporin with prostaglandin E (PGE), enhance the immunosuppressive activity of cyclosporin and reduces renal function-suppressive effect. CONSTITUTION: This immunosuppressive agent comprises a combination of an cyclosporin-containing immunosuppressive agent with PGE of formulae I to III (R is H, 1-6C alkyl; R1 is H, vinyl, a 1-4C alkyl; wavy line represents R or S stereochemistry; R2 -R4 are each H, a 1-4C alkyl, or R2 and R3 incorporate with carbon Y to form a 4-6C cycloalkenyl; X-Y bond is saturated or unsaturated), for example, misoprostol, enisoprost. The doses of individual agents are 3-18mg/kg body weight/day of cyclosporin and 2.5-40mg/kg body weight/day of PGE, respectively. |
