This apparatus is noteworthy in that it comprises, on the basis of a support frame, means capable of holding the box (1) to be filled open in an open position and means ensuring the raising of the lower flaps (1, 1) (1, 2) of the box, leaving a gap (e) (e'); a conveying means (3) capable of presenting, according to a preestablished cycle, and conveying the successive cavities (2) in a plane above the upper opening of the box to be filled; a support means (17) capable of penetrating via the bottom inside the box through the gap (e-e') established between the flaps, the said support means being extendable dimensionally in order to cover the entire inner surface of the box, the said support means for the cavities being displaceable vertically and step by step in the volume of the box in order to permit the successive stacking of a plurality of cavities; and a holding means (11) arranged above the upper opening of the box to be filled in order to facilitate the engagement of the cavities in the box. <IMAGE>
