<p>PURPOSE:To improve steering performance by providing a front wheel steering angle correcting device for carrying out the correction-steering for front wheel so that the turning radius is kept constant independently of the change of car speed, in a vehicle having the steering characteristic in oversteering tendency. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 21 which is revolved by the operation of a steering wheel 1 is meshed with a rack 22, and front wheels 7 and 8 are steered through side rods 3 and 4 and knuckle arms 5 and 6 by the horizontal motion of the rack 22. In such a front wheel steering mechanism, a front wheel steering angle correcting device including a gear case 30 which can be slided in the horizontal motion direction of the rack 22 is installed. The gear case 30 is connected with the motor shaft 27 of a motor 26 through a lever 25, worm wheel 24, and a worm 25. The motor 26 is revolved in correspondence with the front wheel steering output signal supplied from a controller P, and the rack 22 can be shifted in the horizontal direction, keeping the meshed state between the pinion 21 and the rack 22 by the revolution, and front wheels are correction- steered.</p> |
