<p>The invention relates to a high-temperature storage battery (1) having a double-walled housing (2) between whose housing walls (2A and 2B) at least one piece of insulating material (3) is arranged and whose internal space (4) is provided for holding storage cells (5). According to the invention, the internal space (10, 11, 12) is split. A cooling medium, preferably air is supplied to said internal space by in each case one channel (20, 21, 22) provided for this purpose. The channels (20, 21, 22) are arranged side-by-side or vertically one beneath the other in such a manner that the shortest channel (20) is arranged completely inside and the longest channel (22) is arranged completely outside.
