PURPOSE:To economically and efficiently deodorize various complex malodorous components by carrying out adsorption treatment of malodorous component- containing liquefied petroleum gas in the liquid phase using a solid adsorbent containing zinc sulfide applied thereto. CONSTITUTION:Liquefied petroleum gas containing malodorous components, such as hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, acetaldehyde, polysulfides or trimethylamine, is brought into contact with a solid adsorbent, such as active carbon, natural zeolite or activated alumina, containing zinc sulfate and/or aluminum sulfate applied thereto for 15-120min (preferably 40-60min) to carry out adsorption treatment in the liquid phase. Thereby, the aforementioned malodorous components are deodorized. |
