<p>PURPOSE:To form hardened layer having uniform depth with large induction current by forming notching part toward the side of material to be quenched on the opposite side of the material to be quenched in connecting part of a conductor constituting a coil. CONSTITUTION:In the high frequency quenching coil, at the corner 103 of the opposite side of a work 200 in the connecting part 102a of the first conductor 11 with the fourth conductor body 14 and the connecting part 102b of the second conductor body 12 with the fifth conductor 15, slit-type notching parts 30 are formed toward the corner 104 at the work 200 side, respectively. As the high frequency current conducted to the connecting parts 102, 102b is conducted as approaching intersection line 204 at the corner part 201 of work 200, the induction current having sufficient intensity is conducted near the above intersection line 204 and the prescribed hardened layer 207 is formed near the intersection line 204. In this result, the hardened layer 207 continued over the whole surface of corner part 201 is formed.</p> |
