PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition improved in heat resistance by compounding a 6-22C (un)saturated fatty acid with a metallic cleaning agent. CONSTITUTION:A mineral oil or a synthetic lubricating oil as the base oil with a viscosity of 4-40cSt at 100 deg.C is compound with 0.01-5.0wt.% 6-22C (un)saturated fatty acid, e.g. n-octanoic acid, 1-50wt.% metallic cleaning agent, e.g. a mixture of a hydroxyalkylbenzoic acid with an alkaline earth metal salt of an alkylphenol, and, if necessary, 0.5-15wt.% ashless dispersant, e.g. borated succinimide, and each 0.1-3wt.% antioxidant, abrasion inhibitor, e.g. zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate, corrosion inhibitor, e.g. benzotriazole, etc. |
