PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor of good durability with good adhesive strength to a substrate without giving adverse influence upon a photoconductive layer by containing a silane coupling agent in the parts of a photosensitive drum consisting of the substrate, a photoconductive layer and an insulation layer where the insulation layer in the end parts thereof contacts with the substrate directly. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 2 is formed on a photosensitive drum substrate 1, and the coating soln. prepd. by adding and mixing the silane coupling agent expressed by the formula to and with a resin soln. of a PVC-vinyl acetate copolymer or the like at 0.1-10% is coated on the end parts of the drum and is dried, whereby a protective insulation layer 3 is formed. Next, an insulation protective layer 4 covering the layer 3 and the layer 2 is formed by coating a soln. of photosetting butyl rubber or the like and photosetting the same. Further, a protective layer 5 is formed of a photosetting urethane resin or the like on the layer 4. Since the silane coupling agent is not contained in the layers 4, 5 in this way, the layer 2 does not receive the adverse influence such as degradation in moisture resistance, the adhesion between the substrate 1 and the layers 3, 4, 5 have a semipermanent life and the photosensitive drum of high durability is obtained. |
