<p>PURPOSE:To form color-coded picture elements having uniformly electrodeposited films by simultaneously impressing a voltage, via metallic wirings, to one or plural groups desired to be colored to the same color among plural picture element electrode groups in a prescribed coloring liquid to execute electrodeposition coating and then repeating this operation in correspondence to the number of color kinds. CONSTITUTION:A resin 7 having the carboxyl anions dissociated in an aq. soln. by the voltage impressed between the picture element electrode groups 1 and a counter electrode 5 is attracted onto the picture element electrode groups / impressed to a positive polarity and reacts with the hydrogen ions generated by the electrolysis of water, by which the resin is insolubilized and is deposited on the picture element electrode groups 1. On the other hand, coloring agents 6, for example, red pigments are dispersed together with the resin 7 in the coloring liquid 10. The red pigments are also attracted to the picture element electrode groups 1 at the time when the ionized resin 7 is attracted onto these groups. The resin film colored red is thus obtd. This operation is repeated with, for example, the picture element electrode groups 2 and green pigments, the picture element electrode groups 3 and blue pigments.
