PURPOSE:To obtain a good performance by setting the hole diameter of a porous glass carbon at a size suitable for a zinc bromide cell. CONSTITUTION:A porous glass carbon (a positive electrode) 1 is heat-welded to a carbon plastic base 2 to form as a unitary electrode. And the porous glass carbon with the hole diameter 0.11-100mum is used as a positive electrode member. As a result, bromine is maintained well in the porous glass carbon, and the bromine which has finished an electrochemical reaction removes adequately without staying on the surface of the electrode, making the bromine which does not react yet react with the electrode easily. Consequently, an electrode for a zinc bromide cell having a good positive electrode performance and an excellent working circumstance can be obtained. |
