<p>PURPOSE:To improve a wear resistance for the edge of a tape like recording medium by forming a wear resistant layer by electrodeposition on the lead provided at the outer peripheral part of a fixed drum for guiding a tape like recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Record and reproduction are performed by a magnetic head 14 fitted via a head base 13 to the lower face of a rotary drum 11 by opposing a traveling magnetic tape 37 to the rotary drum 11 while winding it on the outer peripheral part of a fixed drum 12. A wear resistant layer 36 is formed by deposition on the part of the lead 34 provided on the outer peripheral part of the fixed drum 12 in order to guide the edge of the magnetic tape 37. Consequently the wear resistance for the edge of the magnetic tape 37 can be improved.</p> |
