Load carrier of the type which has a vertical fixed end wall 2, side walls 4 pivotably attached to the end wall, a hinged bottom shelf 3 which at the lower end of the end wall can be tilted towards the end wall and by means of which the side walls can be locked in a transport position in which the side walls are mutually parallel and situated at right-angles to the end wall, and tiltable loading shelves 5 and 7 situated at arbitrary levels above the bottom shelf. In order to improve the stability of such a load carrier during transport, the upper of the said loading shelves 7 is tiltably hinge- connected to the upper end of the end wall 2 and provided with locking members 8 which are arranged, in the tilted- down, horizontal position of the loading shelf 7, to interact with locking members 9 of the side walls 4 to enable locking of the side walls even at the top of the load carrier. <IMAGE> |
