摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency of catalyst exchange, to increase a space velocity and to make the reformer compact at the time of bringing a gaseous mixture of raw material and steam into contact with a catalyst to reform the raw material into a hydrogen-rich gas for a fuel cell by making the outlet part of the catalyst bed resistant to high temp. CONSTITUTION:A gaseous mixture of the raw material such as hydrocarbons and methanol and water (e.g. CH4+H2O) is introduced into a fuel reformer 4 from an inlet 13, brought into contact with a low-temp. catalyst 21 and then with a heat-resistant high-density catalyst 20 and reformed into a hydrogen-rich gas.
