A mould frame for producing chocolate articles is in two halves 101, 102 which are hinged to one another and urged together in a resilient manner by clips to bring together the two halves of individual moulds carried in inserts 154 of the frame halves. The clipping means include resilient steel bars 159 of rectangular cross-section secured within ribs 158 on two adjacent sides of the frame halves; catch hooks 162 at each end of one bar are pivoted at 164 and snap over rollers 166 at the ends of the other bar. The hinge connection is located opposite the clipping means and includes similar bars mounted in ribs, with a hinge connection at both adjacent ends of the bars. The assembly rotates about the axis of pivot bearings 107. In Fig. 5, not shown, half moulds (144, 145) are located in recesses in frame inserts (154) and a sealing lip (148) around one mould half engages a flange (147) of the other half when the frame halves are clipped together; the said lip may engage within a channel in the said other half.</p> |
