摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce a cost and weight of a fuel control device by combining a means to measure a flow of fuel to an engine and a means to disconnect the flow of fuel. CONSTITUTION: For measurement of a fuel flow, a piston 22 strokes as a specified quantity of fuel passes through a valve 12, and a window 52 in a sleeve 24 is opened till pressure drop along the window 52 becomes equal to spring force. A position sensor 28 supplies a signal to indicate a piston position through pipings 66 to an EEC, the EEC receives the signal, and it processes the signal to control various functions for determining the fuel flow in accordance with WF=KF(X) (Fo+KsX/Ay)<1/2> (WF is a flow rate, K is constant, X is capacity of the piston 22, Fo is preload force of a spring 26, Ks is spring factor, Av is piston closure surface). When upstream pressure of the window 52 drops to be less than a value to exceed spring force, the valve 12 is closed by the preload force of the spring 26.
