A device for the enrichment of sample material for spectroscopic purposes during the flow injection analysis by means of an ion exchanger column (48) contains an ion exchanger column having a funnel (54) which is filled with a grainy ion exchanger (56). To enrich the sample, the sample fluid flows through the ion exchanger column (46) from the pointed first end 46. The enriched elements are then eluted again by an eluted fluid from the wider second end 52. This results in a very low dispersion of the eluted sample plug.
