PURPOSE:To operate a doll or the like to be accurately interlocked with musical sounds by giving a drive signal prepared on the basis of music sound data of a memory to an operating means and providing a control means for controlling the operation of the operating means to be tuned to a melody generated from a melody generator. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid driving section 13 comprises a circuit for supplying signals for driving a plurality of solenoids 14 to operate a puppet. Every time a note switching signal is applied from an address control section 8, an envelope data from a ROM 9 for memory sound data melody are read-out and the drive signal having pulse width corresponding to then envelope data is supplied to a solenoid 14. For example, 0.98ms pulse width drive signal is supplied in the envelope value 0, and 9.77ms pulse width drive signal which is ten times 0.98ms one is supplied in the envelope value 9. Thus, the pulse width of the drive signal is determined on the basis of the envelope of individual music sounds to be supplied to the solenoid 14, so that a doll or the like can be controllably operated precisely to follow changes in the individual music sounds.
