PURPOSE:To improve the video effect of a stereoscopic picture by controlling the focusing state of the stereoscopic picture in a state where the focusing states of an object image of right and left lenses are kept identical. CONSTITUTION:In each optical system, an image is inputted in a line sensor 2 through a focusing lens 1 and the focusing state of the image is converted to a phase difference by an interface 3 to be transmitted to a CPU 4. When a fade-out switch 6 is turned on, the CPU 4 makes right and left focusing motors 7 rotate to read in the phase difference signal of right and left cameras. When the phase difference is found, one focusing motor 7 is stopped so that the phases are made to coincide and then the motor 7 is rotated while keeping a state where they are coincident until the specified phase difference is obtained. When a fade-in switch 5 is turned on, the motor 7 is rotated so that the specified phase difference is obtained. At such a time, the motor 7 is stopped and the state thereof is kept for a specified time, then the same control as a fade-out action is performed. Thus, the video effect of the stereoscopic picture is improved. |
