PURPOSE:To provide the inexpensive device and to prevent the change in image density due to an environmental (temp.) change by fixing a developer layer thickness regulating member via an elastic member to a developing housing member by screwing, etc. CONSTITUTION:The developer layer thickness regulating member 5 is fixed via the elastic member 6 having excellent ozone resistance to the developing housing member 3. The bimetal effect generated from a difference in the coefft. of linear expansion between the developing housing member 3 and the developer layer thickness regulating member 5 by the environmental (more particularly temp.) change is buffered by the elastic force of the elastic interposing member 6 screwed to the development housing member 3 and, therefore, a doctor gap is maintained always at a specified standard value. The change in image density by the environmental change is prevented by the inexpensive method without using a costly temp. detecting element. |
