PURPOSE:To display the letter-forms of characters, etc., with the smooth curves by a smaller number of light emitting sources by providing a reflecting mirror, oscillating means and the plural light emitting sources which are flickered in accordance with the frequency of the reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:This device has the reflecting mirror 36 which is formed with a smooth reflecting surface 38, the oscillation means 46, 60 which oscillate the reflecting mirror 36 around the axial line parallel with the reflecting surface 38 at a specified amplitude and frequency and the plural light emitting sources 70 which are arranged on the straight line parallel with the axial line and are respectively discretely flickered in accordance with the frequency of the reflecting mirror 36. The incident angles alpha of the light rays radiated from the light emitting sources 70 to the reflecting surface 38 during the oscillation of the reflecting mirror 36 respectively satisfy the relation 0<alpha<90 deg.. The characters, graphics, etc., can, therefore, be expressed by the assembles of many dots if the number of the light emitting sources and the frequency of the flickering signals are increased. The letter-forms of the display characters, etc., are displayed with the smooth curves in this way. |
