PURPOSE:To obtain an image-recording ink which is not influenced by the ambient humidity in a process for performing printing by changing the adhesiveness of an ink by the application of a voltage by constituting it from a colloidal sol containing particles and a liquid dispersing medium and specifying its equilibrium moisture content. CONSTITUTION:At least 1 pt. wt., desirably 5-60 pts. wt. particles (A) of a mean particle diameter <= 100 mum are mixed with 30-80 pts. wt. liquid dispersing medium (B) of a water content of 0-65 wt. % and its fluctuation of 0-10 wt. % and optionally 1-90 pts. wt. component B-soluble polymer, from 0.0001 mol to the amount at a saturation point of an electrolyte per l of component B, swellable particles of a mean particle diameter in a dry state <= 75 mum, 0.1-40 pts. wt. colorant, etc., to form a colloidal sol to obtain 100 pts. wt. title ink which adhere to one electrode but does not adhere to the other electrode when a voltage is applied between a pair of a cathode and an anode and has an equibrium moisture content omegae (%) (at 25 deg.C and a relative humidity of 70%) in the range of 3 <= omegae <= 50 and a volume resistivity <= 10<5>OMEGA.cm. |
