PURPOSE:To reset the measurement result in a range having a relatively narrow maximum width by constituting an instrument so that the measurement result is simultaneously displayed in plural ranges in parallel. CONSTITUTION:An object 4 to be measured is placed on an attitude correcting means 9, and a measuring means 5, a moving means 6, and the means 9 are operated to set the face to be measured of this object 4 to the state parallel with the movement direction of the means 6. An operator uses a mouse 5 to measure the surface roughness of the object while seeing the menu displayed on the display face of a display means 8. A control means 13 receives the signal from the mouse 15 and sends control signals to means 5, 6, 8, and 12. The detection signal of the surface roughness of the object 4 detected by the means 5 is so amplified by an amplifying means 11 that the maximum width is 8mum, 80mum, and 800mum, and three signals are subjected to prescribed operation in an operation means 12, and operation results are displayed on a display face 10 as values corresponding to respective ranges. |
